#SKKN's formulations were actually much better than I thought! #scienceandskincare #realscience #realsimple #skincare #skincareadvice #pollution Hello everyone! It's been awhile but for the first time in a long time I really wanted to make a post. So, I've stared a new serious. The #ingredient analyser series. It's a super easy and enjoyable (for me) to share some top line notes on different products. First up is @byoma Brightening Serum. The shady practises of the beauty industry won’t change unless regulation - the law - changes. I don’t find it useful to demonise brands for what they believe or how they feel. I really wanted to write this article because I find it shocking that so many people fake their entire appearances/existence’s and it’s now normal? They’re are many articles that talk about filters but none that discuss the reasons we are so drawn to competing with each other and how we can build or self esteem. Not be being narcissistic or having a bubble bath, by genuinely dealing with our mental health. Read the article following the link in my bio. Thank you to @popsugar for publishing and @drtijionesho for his comments! Late night PSA because I felt like i needed to share some advice I don't think works. Today is a very special post, I teamed up with @allmatters to talk about #periodpoverty This has become and unexpected passion project of mine. Ever since I created my first period post I have started to understand just how little is known about it. I have followers from many different countries, who need this information. This is a beginning so please share and discuss! Is this a controversial statement? Well, it depends on who you ask. There is obviously a debate of science vs clean beauty in this industry and I wanted to hear the other side of the argument. So, I enlisted the help of @brookharveytaylor . She founded and runs @pacificabeauty and has done for 25 years. If anyone has a clear view on clean beauty, where it comes from and where it could go, it’s her. This is just an excerpt, the full interview can be read at the link in my bio. I am interested though, do you agree? Can we find a middle ground? Yes, I’ve been super busy with other work HOWEVER, I still have a few things to say in this space. Including the above. I had a few messages about my last post, in the realm of ‘I’m sorry this happened to you’ but honestly, what I’m talking about hasn’t happened to me that much. It’s what I’ve noticed and I felt someone should state what is at this point, the obvious. Which brings me to this post. You can argue all day long about what you believe to be true, reliable information. But are you actually helping those people who just want a cream because it’s cold outside? No. I really want to bring it back to the consumers. Believe it or not there are people who want an efficacious routine but don’t want to study Cosmetic Science.
