Michelle Obama Teams Up With The Lip Bar To Help Voter Turnout


The former first lady teamed up with The Lip Bar to create a new liquid lipstick, and 40% of the proceeds of the product will go to When We All Vote, a non-profit organization that aims to increase voter turnout in the US.

The Lip Bar is a Black-owned brand that sells vegan, cruelty-free makeup. Its founder, Melissa Butler, appeared on ABC’s “Shark Tank” TV series. 

The brand offers a variety of make-up including; eyeshadows, lip products and base make-up, all of which is suited to a variety of skin tones.

The former first lady-approved, matte-red liquid lip colour comes in a shade called Bawse Voter, which retails for $15 and launched as a limited edition colour with only 500 avaliable.

We All Vote launched in 2018 by a number of celebrities and public figures, with the aim to to increase participation in US elections and close the race- and age-related voting gap.
