Brand: Kiehls

Skin type: All

How to use: Shake well before use. Twice daily, moisten a cotton pad with milk-peel toner and gently swipe along a clean and dry face, avoiding eye area. For optimal results, use daily face peel every morning and night after your cleansing step and before applying a serum

Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Squalane, Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil/Safflower Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, PEG-40 Glyceryl Cocoate, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Coceth Sulfate, Capryloyl Salicylic Acid, Tromethamine, Ethylhexylglycerin, Citrus Nobilis Peel Oil/Mandarin Orange Peel Oil, Adenosine, Limonene, Caprylyl Glycol, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf/Nut/Stem Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Seed Extract/Sweet Almond Seed Extract, Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Silybum Marianum Extract, Tocopherol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Lactic Acid.

How does it smell? Ngl my nose has been pretty blocked for a while so it was hard to get a scent off of this. So I took a general consensus by asking various members of my family to confirm, I had one that said it didn’t smell like anything and one said it smelled like the shampoo you get in hotels. So, I sniffed it again and I have to agree with the latter. It kinda smells like the universal scent of a Nivea cream. Like old timey skincare (which I like – nostalgia vibes).

How does it feel? Silky, very silky and smooth. It’s actually super easy to move around your skin.

Cost? £52

How long did I test for? 3 months pretty consistently.

What I liked? It’s just really good at what it says it is. It very gently exfoliates the skin. Finding an exfoliator that is good at getting rid of dead skin cells that you can use everyday and hydrates the skin well is a rarity. Although the active ingredient is Salicylic Acid, it’s brimming with hydrators like;  Almond Milk and Glycerin. You can tell that it’s bi-phasic because you have to shake it to use it. So, you’re getting a level of humectants and emollients and Lipo-Hydroxy Acid, which is a derivative of Salicylic Acid. The formula is enriched with Lipo-Hydroxy Acid which is a great exfoliator.

What I disliked? It’s expensive which is always a downside but at least with this it’s expensive for a reason – it’s actually good at what it says it will be good at!

Would I buy again? Yep! No doubt! I find exfoliating toners to be a very important step in my routine. So, that’s where I put a lot of my attention/money and this one really surprised me at just how well it exfoliates.

Where can you purchase? Right here. Kiehls also have a 20% sale from the 29th August – 2nd September 2020!
