Full name: Charlotte’s magic serum crystal elixir
It’s housed in the signature art deco style, rose gold and glass packaging that is synonymous with Charlotte’s brand. It has also been designed for morning and evening use, with promises to make skin look younger, pores appear tighter, fine lines and wrinkles appear reduced and skin appear firmer. But how?

Niacinaminde is the second ingredient in this list and so must have a pretty hefty amount in this formula. Niacinaminde’s main benefit’s for the skin include:
- Shrinking enlarged pores (due to exposure to the sun or because they are blocked). Niacinamide helps to increase the skin’s elasticity, which makes the pores ‘shrink’ again.
- Fading red blemishes. Some research shows that a concentration of 2% of niacinamide is highly effective to help red blemishes fade more quickly (e.g. the redness left by spots).
- Lastly, just as niacinamide helps enlarged pores return to their natural shape, it has the same effect on the entire skin, making the surface feel smoother and look more even. This process also makes fine lines less obvious.
What’s else is in Magic Serum Crystal Elixir?
It’s £60.00 for 30 mL, so you’d expect to find some elevated ingredients in the serum. The formula includes a peptide blend called replexium four younger-looking skin proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by 34 per cent and firm the appearance of skin by 49 per cent.
It also has plant adaptogen extracts to help skin appear radiant and polyglutamic acid to increase hydration of the skin – this acid is four times more hydrating than hyaluronic acid, made of large molecules that allow it to form a thin, moisture-loss preventing film on the skin’s surface. Lastly, it includes vitamin C.

Charlotte explains that her aim was to combine the best of modern biocosmetic science with the spiritual and mythical powers of crystals
So into the magical mix has gone moonstone for calm and peace, ruby for passion, protection and prosperity, rose quartz for love, crystal quartz for purity and amethyst for uplifting and soothing.
