Medik8 launches Illuminating Eye Balm with cucumber extract

Premium skin care brand Medik8 is due to launch its Illuminating Eye Balm (£32) at the end of this month.

The formula has a subtle mineral pigment tint that is said to reflect light with optical diffusers to soften the appearance of dark circles.

Meanwhile, cucumber extract is claimed to refresh and revitalise skin, and red algae extract is included to combat puffiness around the eyes.

“Cooling, refreshing and hydrating, we included cucumber extract in the formulation of our Illuminating Eye Balm” said Danial Isaacs, Medik8’s Director of Research.

“Cucumbers are known for their ability to reduce swelling of the eyes and are armed with a multitude of antioxidant components meaning it also helps to protect the area under the eyes from free radical attack and premature ageing.”

The product is said to be ideal for everyday lightweight and natural coverage, blending seamlessly into skin. It is available from here.
