Avon has become the latest brand to jump on the CBD/Clean Beauty bandwagon with it’s first facial oil infused with CBD aptly named Green Goddess.
The best part? They’ve actually done a really great job at hitting all the new beauty standards on the head. The ingredients are sustainable sourced, natural and this particular product actually has cannabidiol in it.
Just for your reference, here is the full ingredients list:
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil
Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil
Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract
But is CBD actually good for you?
As with most things you’ll get the most accurate answer through trying it yourself. However, what I can tell you it that CBD products are generally aimed at soothing the skin (no guesses as to why). Hence, it targets acne/break-out prone skin. It relives irritation because it provides the skin with Vitamins like A, D and E. It can also give the skin a healthy does of fatty acids. All of which are essential for healthier skin.
However, this product opens the door to other questions, do you as a consumer worry about whether your ingredients are sourced sustainable? Or do you check whether any of the ingredients are synthetically produced? Let me know in the comment section.
Green Goddess is available to purchase in the US here.
